About Sarah Lorne
Meet Sarah, the inspiration behind Sarah Lorne, and her human companion, Amanda.
Sarah joined our family on October 6, 2012. As the story goes, on our way home driving back from visiting a pumpkin patch, our little family saw a lady set up on the side of a busy road with the sign "Free puppies". We learned that a kind lady had taken in a stray pregnant mama who ended up having 8 puppies! She cared for the mama's puppies for several weeks, but the puppies were getting too big and needed to fur-ever homes. Our little family had discussed getting a pup, so we took this as our sign that it was time. We went over to the group of playful puppies and I was immediately drawn to a sweet blonde pup, but my husband and I agreed our kiddo could pick. Our kiddo instinctively leaned over the pack of puppies and picked up the exact pup I'd had my eye on. We asked him, "Is this the one?" and without skipping a beat, he confidently replied, "Yes, she's the one!"
That's how Sarah joined our family and became an integral part of our pack. Sarah was the best dog we could have asked for. She was the sweetest, kindest, most precious soul. She blessed our family with 9 years of unmatched love. She taught us many lessons, most notably how to be kinder and gentler with ourselves.
In June of 2021, Sarah was diagnosed with osteosarcoma. Unfortunately by the time she was diagnosed the cancer had metastasized to the point chemo would not have helped. On June 18, 2021, Sarah crossed the rainbow bridge to doggie heaven. Her sweet, gentle soul is the inspiration behind this brand. Even after leaving this world, Sarah continues to impact my life every day, including helping me reconnect with my creativity. This brand was created with Sarah as the inspiration and now honors her by keeping her memory alive.
In further honor of my sweet Sarah, 10% of the proceeds of each item sold is donated to canine cancer and research. It is my sincere hope every pair of earrings you purchase bring you joy, as that would truly be the greatest honor to Sarah.
Peace, Love and Paws,
Amanda
